Quench is a theatrical percussion piece for 4 performers playing glass bottles. Originally written in 2007 for The Performing Arts Institute Summer Music Festival, a 2025 revision expanded the length and scope of the piece, augmenting the opportunity the performers have to explore their instruments and enjoy their beverage. The players strike and scrape the bottle, tap the bottle on the table, "cheers" each other, and blow across the top to create interlocking melodic and rhythmic material.
